The White House has reached a deal with health care negotiators (READ: Democrat negotiators) and labor unions (READ: Democrat base) on taxing the so-called high-level “Cadillac” plans that workers with high-risk jobs often purchase. The excise tax on high-cost insurance plans has been one of the biggest sticking points in the negotiations, as President Obama has favored the Senate plan, which calls for the tax, while House Democrats have preferred raising taxes on high-income earners.
GOP Committee head told Fox News, “The definition of irony…. Democratic leaders today emerged from a closed-door meeting to announce a backroom ‘deal’ on health care, then brag about the ‘transparent process.’”
Beyond the sweetheart deal that the White House and House and Senate Democrats cut with their base, PPF.org wonders what is next in this so-called transparent negotiation?
We have serious concerns not only with the a deal that will essentially exempt union plans and strip out billions that is suppose to pay for the Democrats’ plans, but that next up will be a “deal” to sell out American medicine to a mass bureaucracy and Czar-like bureaucrat that will have government fiat power over our health.

I refuse to pay for unions ….this is unconstitutional and the bill has ZERO to do with health care ‘reform’ ……….ANGRY??? What about older people, not yet on medicare, who have medical conditions, and are self-employed? The premiums increase as you age, and go through the roof if you have a medical condition. I am a liver transplant recipient. I just changed my plan to a higher deductible (from $1000 to a $2500 deductible) so I could lower my premium. Last year my premium of $1039 (just for me) would have put me in the “cadillac” plan and I would have been subjected to a 40% tax with the current proposal in the senate plan. My premium this year ($577/month) keeps me out of the “cadillac” category, but covers only 60% of my prescription drug costs, which run about $3000 per month. We are self-employed with a family income which has dropped to about $44,000 per year since this administration took power. Shouldn’t the “cadillac” plans be determined by coverage instead of premium cost? And why are the unions exempt. This is fair??
At first glance, the administration seem like a bunch of clueless bumbling fools. They are not, this is all right out of Saul Alinsky’s plan to take a democracy and turn it upside down and drain all assets into communists coffers. I don’t know if big victories in November will be enough.

I have already put all the current sitting Congressman and Senators in my state(FL) on notice that they are going to be unemployed after the 2010 elections.
America we need to stand up and take control if our elected leaders are not going to do their jobs, vote them out and support a new runner even if that means crossing party lines.
How can our leaders vote for any Bill that 55% oppose and 40% approve ? We need to make some major changes in the coming elections!
