Merry Christmas?
The Senate presented their “Christmas present” to the American public today. While the Senate bill didn’t include the so-called public plan, it is hardly restrained. The government is coming to American medicine and the only question is how much, at what cost and what will be the consequences?
As you know, the House and Senate bills will have to be married before a final reform package is sent to the White House. So we’re not done yet.

I did not like Obama from the very beginning. What has he EVER done or accomplished? He was nothing but a backbencher senator who should’ve never been elected SENATOR. He spent the whole two years running for the presidency, with a lot of help from, I’m afraid, some VERY RICH WHITE MEN (George Soros for one). They picked him out as someone “young, charismatic and with great rhetoric — what does he ever do but TALK — a great smile (I even question that as faked. He thought he was really fooling most of the whites who thought it would be “historic” to elect a black man to the highest office in the land, and of course, he completely dazzled the black people who don’t realize they won’t be any better off than the rest of us “commoners” — it’s “back to the plantation” for all of us! When I began to hear about his past acquaintances and those who counseled him (Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, and other misfits, I became very concerned. I KNEW he would never change his liberal, radical ways; he would NOT — as some mused — govern “from the middle” once in office, but fit right in with the socialistic/communistic left-wingers who have total control over our federal government — “Nazi” Pelosi and “Dusty Harry”, as well as Rahm (dead fish) Immanuel.
What would people have done had Bush had the nerve to hire so many “czars” who answered to no one but himself? They’d have strung him up. They treated him so hatefully and shabbily for 8 years, I don’t know he stood it. Cheney, Rumsfield, and yes, Condi Rice (a lovely black woman with a wonderful life story) also bore the brunt of the hate-mongering left.
I have no qualms about a black president, but he is the WRONG black man (heck, he’s even half-white) for the current job as president of the greatest nation in the world! I told my daughter that when she said she would “feel like a part of history” by voting for obama!
Does anyone remember the movie “The Omen”? I do, and it gives me the shivers. WHO IS THIS PERSON? I think frankly that he is a Muslim, but that he listened to every word the so-called Christian Rev. Wright said for 20 years.

I am so %&^$# mad at this takeover by our now fascist “government.” They aren’t listening to anything the majority of Americans have said. We all should personally email Pelosi, Reid, the White House, Schumer, Dodd, Landrieu, Nelson, and many others so they all get their servers overloaded with notices of outrage. These people are evil and need to be hammered for their corrupt behavior and theft of our nation’s treasury.
Heard that it was discovered by one of the Republican Senators (I think J. DeMint) that there is language in the bill that it cannot be repealed or amended in any way. Sounds unconstitutional & I’m not surprised. Good luck America. Someday we will all look back at the Good Old Days. The only chance we have is to get rid of all of these sleezy politicians and fast. The GOP MUST get good conservative politicians for the next election.
We all talk about defeating these people at the polls. Past experience suggests it rarely happens. We keep electing the same misfits again and again.

I am disgusted with this government and what is going on. Every day seems to get worse than the day before: Health Care Reform, closing Guantanamo Bay and moving prisoners to America, revealing our war techniques to the public, swine flu deception, global warming lies, governing running car dealerships and banks, Obama’s czars, tax evaders in Washington, bombing the moon, 9/11 masterminds trial in New York, starving farmers for fish in California, Cap and Trade, stimulus waste, and lack of concern for our soldiers. I never paid any attention to politics before but I was never scared for our country. This is just unbelievable. I never thought I would see anything like this in America.

People forget how about 5 summers ago during a heat wave in France over 10,000 people died in nursing homes in about a month from heat exhaustion. Water and a fan would have saved most of these folks but in socialist France this did not and apparently could not happen. Jacque Chirac was in Canada while most of the deaths occurred. But it is good to see how most Americans are waking up to how our government has been hijacked by socialists, communists and their far out religious greenies. I am terribly disappointed in our elected officials who have are no longer interested in doing the will of the people who elected them. However we have let this happen for all to many years. It is now time to get off of our couches and take “people action”.

We,ve got a whole bunch of “a holes” in Washington. They all need to be replaced in November. I’d like to wish all of them a happy new year, but I can’t. Quite the opposite. Maybe their own personal health care plans will explode in their faces! They deserve nothing less.
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN
Congress and the White House should stop squandering the people’s money first and then improve quality of basic entitlements. No new taxes. Congressional vote bribery not necessary. Citizens come first.
It is time the U.S. limits its human rites and military policeman by lobbying the United Nations and NATO to “take on more”. 800 bases across the world should be reduced. Starting with Iraq, remove most troops in 2010 and continue consulting for self reliance. After a surge in Afghanistan repeat, remove corruption and substitute same value food crops for drugs. Reduce forces in selected areas such as Germany, Bosnia and Okinawa.
Cut bureaucracy. For example, combine CDC, EPA and FDA. No CSZARS.
Contribute to one of: The World Bank or International Monetary Fund.
Reduce foreign aid. For example, no aid to oil rich -Iraq.
Reduce the “stimulus” by halting “vote buying” and ridiculous earmarks. 550 billion left. Please–no research of frogs or rats and no private jets for Congress.
Stop the “bailout”. 213 Billion left. Let executives lose. “To big to fail” is obsolete.
Reduce medical costs by “tort reform”, and limiting “red tape”.
Enforce immigration laws. Entitlements or benefits are for citizens. Deport criminal “illegals”. Workers with visas should receive only needed medical benefits.
Improve medical expense tax deduction for citizens reaching age 65. Provide employer tax reduction incentives for employee healthcare.
Full funding will support “Medicaid”,” Medicare”, and “Veteran’s Affairs”.
Healthcare quality should be at least that for Congress or the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). A result: no drug “benefit hole”, dental coverage, improved visual coverage and no co-pays except for extended skilled level nursing.
The savings can aid unemployment compensation, and stabilize Social Security.
We are no longer living in a democracy. I guess the name of the game is money, not about what the people of America want. It’s about how long one can hold out on their vote to get offered a good deal. Jesus was sold out for money and the American people seem to be sold out for it as well! It really feels paralyzing not to be heard or better yet to be heard and to be ignored!
The Hosue and Senate have ceased representing the people. They represent their own interests, make their own deals with insurance, medical providers and drug companies., Naturally they, and thier friends are bound to make money out of it for the people who bought them. And they get better insurance and coverage than the People. They are selling their constituents into Serfdom. At least the serfs in the middle ages only owed 10% of their production. VOTE THEM OUT!

My solution is very simple……….Put everyone in Congress on a paid vacation with full salary plus $500,000 for each member of Congress to do with what he or she wants. (this alone would save us Billions).
Only strings attached is that they cannot meet & pass anymore legislation until after the 2010 elections.
WE vote them all out that is up for re-election. We repeat this process until everyone in the current Congress is gone.
Then start repealing the ObamaCare, Crap & Tax, StimuLESS, & all other old bills that WE THE PEOPLE do not want.
In about six years we have a clean slate then insist on term limits for future Congresses.
There can no longer be any doubt about Obama’s determined and unshakeable agenda, to fundamentally transform the country - into a European socialist state. Riding roughshod over the will of the people is no problem - as the recent HC debacle has shown. So what is to be done? Well, look at the damage this guy has caused in 11 short months - obviously we must remove him from office by impeachment. We need to get busy on constitutional violations, all of them, from the HC mandate which will jail people, to taking over private companies - Chrysler, GM, AIG, Citi, etc., violating contract law, - pay czar violations, and - very important - EPA regulatory mandates which will destroy private companies. Clearly the federal government has way overstepped its bounds with Obama, and this is the path to removing him. Simultaneously, of course, we need to defeat the weasel cowardly greedy representatives and senators who are party to the Obama attempt to take over and destroy our form of govt.. Remember the great Thomas Jefferson quotes: 1) a revolution every generation, and 2) the tree of liberty must regularly be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
One way to survive the impending economic disaster: Invest in Cheesebrough-Ponds. The are the manufacturer are Vaseline. The American taxpayers are going to need it in 55 gallon drums! You’ll be independently wealthy in no time!
But of course Obama will be coming to confiscate your new-found wealth!
What do I think? I think this Administration is either ignoring or insulting the people who they are supposed to be representing. I think that it amazes me when I read Thomas Paine’s writings telling the reasons for the onset of the American Revolution and finding out that they were LESS PROBLEMATIC than what we see happening to us by this Administration. That means we have MORE GOOD REASON to have a second Revolution than even the original Founders did. That is very scary, and we have only seen the tip of the iceberg with Obama and cronies: they are intended to destroy our Country via its economic stability so that they can remake America in their own image and vision. We ALREADY HAVE AN AMERICA. It is NOT the task of this President or anyone else to remake this Nation, but rather to stand and protect our Founding Documents and the strength of America and her people, AT ALL COST.
I am nothing but a housewife from Pennsylvania but smart enough to feel and see when something is terribly wrong; seeing something working against the Nation and her people…..a startling red flag keeps going up every day that news comes out of this Administration. THEY HAVE TO BE STOPPED. I intend to vote against every liberal from School Principal to Mayor to President; I think millions of us are ready to simply put these nutjobs out of office and see to it that they never regain momentum again……IF we survive the rest of the Obama term - he knows he has to move fast before the end of his first term so we will see horrid, oppressive and anti-Constitutional legislation being passed at an alarming rate going forward, UNLESS the Republicans in Washington decide to stop being “nice” and “bipartisan” and start fighting this dirty fight with the gloves off and with everything they’ve got. THE PEOPLE WILL STAND WITH THEM if they do it.

The fact that it took a 60% majority in both branches of the legislature AND the most diabolical ;political tricks in history AND Americans don’t want socialized medicine shows that the Democratic Party will do anything to ram this through. We no longer have representatives in Congress but people who represent the government to the people. Please read the Declaration of Independence the part just after “. . . life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, and before the mention of the king. We are at that point in our history right now.
How can a bill be so urgent to pass that it doesn’t even take effect for 4 years.
It is so upsetting that politicians don’t listen to what the people want. My son is a government employee as a mechanic and he gets so upset at the waste of money (millions of dollars) the local government officials make. How come government can’t run their budgets the we run the household budgets. They don’t know the simple concept that ou can’t keep spending money you don’t have.
I rather take a poke in the eye than have the Health Care Reform pass. Current government is so arrogant that they think they are the only ones who know best, when they are the most ignorant people ever in government. Obama has not lived up to any of his campaign promises. In fact, he’s done a complete turnaround. I am proud to say that I did not vote for him, because I would really think that I’m stupid. I get outraged at what has happened so far with the new takeover. I just hope and pray that America will wake up and vote each and everyopne out, but, unfortunately, a great deal of damage has been done and will be done, but we have to be vigilant. I feel that a complete revamping of Union activities has to be put into place. They are not helping businesses and people who are out of work and the status in the workplace, but just promoting corruption with their demands..
I am 65+, and it freightens me to know that this is just the beginning of a disasterous health care system. Being a cancer survivor, I learned first-hand how Medicare works, especially when certain tests are ordered. You have the option of not getting them or paying up front. In short, if it can pinpoint an early problem, and you can’t afford to pay $324.00, the condition will go untreated, and you will be forced to die (death panels). There will be no treatments, because Medicare won’t pay, nor will supplemental insurance plans pay.
I believe this entire Reform Bill is Corrupt, and it should be abandoned until a Bill for the people is put into place.
These dastardly cowards and their behind closed doors, late night voting, deaf ear turning ways need to be voted out! I’m angry and disgusted! This is the most evil administration ever - they are a national disgrace. I pray God’s mercy on us as we suffer under this lack of representative government. Who knows what will be next.
My father warned me about Obama long before the presidential election. While I did not vote for him, I felt proud that our country had evolved to the point where an African American could be elected to the presidency. I took all of my father’s warnings as prejudicial bigotry, and unwarranted fear of Muslim influences. I admonished him that our governemnt is full of checks and balances and that any evil that might be attempted would be shut down before it could do any harm. Obviously, I was totally wrong! Socialism is on our doorstep, and we must unite against it!
In 2010 we MUST vote the Dems out of office, as well as any Republicans (Olympia Snowe) who have supported them. We are NOT powerless, and will refuse to allow this takeover! Acts of Congress can be repealed, and should this heinous health care bill actually pass, it will not last long. Obama should not politically survive another term. He’s screwing the people who voted him in (along with the rest of us) , and that will not go unnoticed!
Healthcare reform is not about anything more than getting more money into the coffers so more earmarks can be given to those that support the current administraion and keeping an income stream for the broke entitlement programs which are already in place. Our elected representatives do not represent the majority of their constituents but are bought and paid for by special interests and lobbyists. Because of the level of corruptness in Washington it will be nescessary to get rid of all and place term limits on senators and congressman. In turn the overhead for staffing and franking can be greatly reduced because most of these funds end up being used for re-election campaigns one way or another.
In 2010 we need to get rid of my senator from CT-Chris Dodd. He is in bed with the democrats and votes every bill into law and then changed credit cards so that they had time to up their rates before the law took effect. Now he wants to change banking and make another federal gov’t dept. DUMP DODD!!! His only contributors are the banking, credit companies and big business as he is in bed with them as well. They like him because he passes laws that make them rich.
Vote Obama out in 2012. He is a puppet for George Soros who owns the democratic party. It really does not matter who we now put into office because they vote with the party because of threats and buy-outs. We need to get term limits into effect and limits on federal campaigns for money getting into federal office positions such as president, senator and representative. American people need to vote in pay raises for these same exact people. No raise if you don’t make things transparent. Terrible as to what was done to us in this healthcare issue. Throw them all out.
The democrat healthcare plan, as we know, has nothing to do with healthcare. It is about funding democrat interests through healthcare that expands government and favors organized labor. In other words, if not altered in any way, it will create far more corruption (on the democrats’ behalf) than that which currently exists with our current healthcare system. One example of how this plan fails to provide reform is that the plan ignores the need for both tort reform and free competition among insurance companies. Positive action in either area would have resulted in billions in savings for the taxpayer… but the dems have no respect for the taxpayer. Republicans want healthcare reform also - and we could have created effective and affordable healthcare reform if this democrat congress had listened. What we got instead is an unabashed racketeering scheme that helps the democrat party - and will cost many patients their healthcare… and in some cases, their lives. This was a democrat, partisan initiative… and now my own initiative is to help make sure that no more democrats are EVER elected to office again… not a single one.

These idiots are going to start a civil war if they don’t pay attention to the people. I certainly hope it never comes to that. So far the best thing the people can do is vote everyone that backs the health plan, TARP, most of the unions, government education and any government take overs out of office come November 2010.
We are being forced into this hellcare bill, which is something the majority of American citizens DO NOT WANT. This is just smoke and mirrors by the dems to take over EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES. Our freedoms are being taken away from us right in front of eyes and we can’t let them succeed. Bribery and corruption have taken place by Harry Reid and company with tax payer dollars. I am very much concerned over the government takeover of so many aspects of our life.
After sending many emails, making numerous phone calls and signing petitions against any aspect of legislation that provides more government intervention, I have become very discouraged. I live in Massachusetts and people vote blindly for people representing the Democrat party without paying any attention to what is happening. They just feel that the Democrats have their best interest at heart. It is scary, as many of these people are highly educated professionals. It goes without saying, that the poor feel their public welfare will only continue under a Democrat leadership.
After working hard all my life, I was able to retire comfortably. What a great country we live in. I am only sorry that the direction this administration is taking us is destroying the “work ethic”.
I am a very concerned citizen.
